This client approached us as he had an unused garage space like many of us that just gets used as a dumping ground for the kid’s old toys.
They wanted to try and utilise the space by converting it into some sort of media or cinema room.
This was the result. An 8-seater 4K cinema room with an 11.2 Dolby Atmos speaker configuration.
The in-wall speakers from Origin Acoustics are powered by the mighty Anthem mrx 1120 AV receiver and produce a breathtaking sound from any position in the room.
The image is displayed with the Optoma UHZ65 4K projector and Elite Aeon edgeless 120-inch screen.
To simplify control of the room we added a Control4 EA1 processor with a handheld SR260 remote control, a T3 10-inch touchscreen and a wireless keypad.
This controls all of the kit in the room as well as the multiple LED lighting circuits, including the fibre optic starlight ceiling which takes the already stunning room to a new level.
This way the client has control of the full room at his fingertips, easily choosing scenes for every occasion.
